Initial appointments
You must have a written referral from a GP, Specialist or Nurse Practitioner to attend Care Gynaecology. Your referral will allow you to claim a rebate from Medicare. No rebate is claimable through your private health fund. A referral from a GP or Nurse Practitioner is valid for 12 months and a referral from a Specialist will only remain valid for 3 months (both taken from the date of your initial consultation at Care Gynaecology).
An appointment cannot be made until we have received your referral. Dr. Rasmuson reviews all referrals to ensure urgent cases are seen promptly and to ascertain if any pathology or tests are required prior to attending for an appointment. Our staff will then contact you and arrange a suitable time and date. A written confirmation of your appointment will be forwarded to you, together with information setting out our consultation fees and Medicare rebates.
Dr. Rasmuson consults Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week and Friday every fourth week. Appointments are made between the hours of 9.30am and 4pm Tuesday to Thursday and 9.30am to 2.30pm every fourth Friday. No consultations are conducted on Mondays.
Dr. Rasmita Mishra visits Care Gynaecology and conducts a general gynaecology clinic every fourth Thursday morning. Appointments are made between the hours of 9am and 12.30pm.
